Port Adelaide has been left so angry by Orazio Fantasia’s backflip that they’ve ruled out acquiring him in next year’s trade period.
As reported on foxfooty.com.au, Fantasia sensationally chose against a move home to South Australia just as a deal with Port was in the final stages of being brokered.
Herald Sun journalist Jon Ralph told Fox Footy’s Trading Day the Power feel like they’ve been “jilted at the altar”, which could have huge future consequences for Fantasia.

“They’d been courting each other, they both thought it was going to happen today with his manager Michael Doughty,” Ralph said.
“They finally had time to compare the offers and they said, ‘No cigar’.”
While the Power are seething by Fantasia’s change of mind, St Kilda great Leigh Montagna suggested the 24-year-old had every right to canvas his options.
“You’re allowed to be in limbo as a player,” Montagna said.
“You’re allowed to be in two minds.
“He never officially came out and put his hand up and said, ‘I declare I want to go to Port Adelaide’.”
Essendon’s focus will now sharpen on Joe Daniher, another forward who harbours ambition to play elsewhere.
Daniher requested a trade to the Sydney Swans on the eve of the trade period, but a deal between the Bombers and Swans is yet to be brokered.
