Ben Simmons suffers Grade 1 sprain in right shoulder, will miss at least one game

Ben Simmons just received some good news regarding the shoulder injury he sustained on Thursday (AEDT).

The Australian point guard injured the right shoulder early in the first quarter of the Philadelphia 76ers’ loss to the Utah Jazz, and was forced to sit for the remainder of the matchup.

Subsequent tests revealed a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, with Simmons listed as out for Saturday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.

Injury forces Simmons to sit


The 76ers said the 23-year-old will be re-evaluated over the weekend, ahead of Monday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.

However, Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes reported that Simmons is expected to miss three games with the injury.

Up until this point, Simmons had been averaged 15 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 3.3 steals per game.
