Liverpool have reportedly emerged as the new favourites to sign Jadon Sancho.

The unsettled Dortmund star has been heavily linked with Manchester United.

But Jan Aage Fjortoft, a former footballer turned journalist, claims that it is now ex-Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp in the driving seat and adds that Sancho wants to leave as soon as January.

It has all started to go wrong for Sancho in recent weeks at Signal Iduna Park when 19-year-old was fined £86,000 for returning late from international duty — and subsequently dropped.

He was also hauled off by boss Lucien Favre after just 36 minutes of the 4-0 hammering from Bayern Munich in November.

And the South Londoner was benched for the recent Champions League trip to Barcelona.

His performances, however, have largely remained in tact and he continues to prove why he’s one of the most promising young stars of the game.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed a deal with AC Milan despite interest from the Premier League, according to reports.

The ex-Manchester United striker attracted several Prem clubs – including Spurs – but the maverick Swede has opted for a romantic return to Italy.

Having played for MLS side LA Galaxy for two seasons, the 38-year-old has been a free agent since the summer.

The deal with the San Siro giants has been agreed in principle and will initially run until the end of the season, according to the Telegraph.

Milan sit 11th in Serie A and will hope Zlatan – who played for the Rossoneri between 2010 and 2012 – can fire them up the table to challenge bitter rivals Inter who are top.

During his first season in England, Ibrahimovic bagged 28 goals helping United win the Europa League and League Cup.

A serious knee injury eventually saw him move Stateside where he continued to dazzle fans bagging 52 goals from 56 games in all competitions for Galaxy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has remained coy on whether Manchester United could make a move for Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish.

The Norwegian was asked the question after watching Grealish curl home a stunning strike that had put Villa 1-0 up at Old Trafford.

The match went on to finish 2-2 – but the 23-year-old’s goal was the talk of the town and when asked if Grealish was the sort of player that the Red Devils could buy, Solskjaer said with a smile: “I can’t talk too much about other teams’ players if they are Manchester United calibre or targets.

“But fantastic goal. I think he’s hit one of those corners that I’ve hit a couple of times.

“It was a great finish but then again we should defend better and show down the left.

“But what a goal and he played a good game, definitely.”

Having scored three goals and assisted a further four, no English midfielder has directly contributed to more goals than Grealish this season.
